Plot
Story Setup
This book describes Harry’s second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. For school vacation, Harry is with his Aunt and her family at Privet Drive. A special creature visits him to warn him not to return to Hogwarts ahead of an upcoming hazard luring there. The creature uses magic at his Uncle’s place which leads to a warning against Harry.
Ron and the other Weasley rescue him at their home. They meet their new teacher while preparing for their new year at Hogwarts.
Journey to Hogwarts
Due to some unfortunate event, Ron and Harry miss their train to Hogwarts and find out another way to reach there.
Hogwarts
The walls of Hogwarts are full of warnings depicting that the chamber of secrets is open. Also, Harry along with children especially those who belong to families not related to magic are attacked in one way or the other.
During one of his classes, Harry learns that he can understand and speak the language of snakes. Harry came to know about a hint regarding the attacks from one of the ghosts hiding in the washroom.
The Chamber of Secrets
On cracking the hint about the Chamber, Harry along with Ron and Hermoine enters the Chamber. Harry fights the dark wizard in the chamber along with another huge creature. This is Harry’s first encounter with the dark wizard.
How he reached the chamber and how the children who were attacked were cured after this have been hidden in my review. To find out the details regarding the happenings in the chamber and all the creatures Harry met there, you need to read the book yourself 🙂

My Thoughts
This book has a simple language as the part one has. This year, we already know about the characters except one or two. The events happening are really strange and magical but they keep you engaged.
There is tension, and speculation about the messages and the attacks along with suspense. Ron, Hermoine, and Harry’s friendship is much stronger this year. Also, Harry came to know about a few mysteries about the powers and qualities he holds. The book is full of action and adventure.
I will give this book a rating of 4.8 out of 5.
